Open to Guides, Senior Section and Guiders
Would you like to attend a large camp?
Would you like to camp for longer than a weekend?
Would you like to try adventurous activities?
If the answer to the above is YES then read on…
Aberdeen City; Angus; Banff & Buchan; Gordon; Kincardine & Deeside and Moray Counties are organising a large scale camp at Crathes Castle Campsite. It is open to all Guide and Senior Section members from the 6 counties and to all leaders, no matter the section. No previous experience of camping is required.
Activities may include: Rock Climbing, Archery, Hiking, Sweet Making, Orienteering, Canoeing, Crate Climbing, Geocaching, Camp Skills, Abseiling; Zumba, Mountain Biking, Cheer leading, 10 pin bowling, Pampering, Aqua aerobics as well as crafts, challenges and carnival games galore.
For Guides and SS members the camp can be used for the Guide’s BP Challenge Adventure, DoE or Queen’s Guide residential experience.
For leaders the camp can be used for the DoE or Queen’s Guide residential experience and/or various clauses from the residential qualifications – camp, catering and/or the clause from the leadership qualification regarding working with others to plan an event.
Cost:
- £220.00 for Guides
- £220 for Senior Section members who would like camp all week
- £110 for Senior Section members who would like to camp for half the week (and therefore half the activities) and work as young leaders for the other half
- Up to £60 for Adults depending on the number of days attending
- This is expected to cover all food, accommodation, activities, administration and camp t-shirt.
- A non-refundable deposit of £50 will required to be returned along with your application form by 31 October 2015.
